Install DreamTale and prepare a model.
The installer contains the application and its runtime. Model files are separate: download the models you need, extract them, and add their folder in the application settings.
Download the Windows installer
DreamTale supports Windows 10/11. The installer includes its runtime, so the download instructions do not require a separate Python installation.

Obtain model files separately
The application installer does not contain the image models. Begin with one model suited to your artwork and available graphics memory. Additional models can be added later.

Set the model directory
- Install the application and open it.
- Download the chosen model files and extract them.
- Add the extracted model folder in the model directory setting.
- Allow the software to identify the model and check its required weights.
- Generate one simple scene and review the result.
Match the model to the workstation
Use a discrete graphics card and choose a model that fits its memory. The existing download guidance describes lightweight models for approximately 8 GB of video memory. Exact requirements depend on the selected model and generation settings.
