Prepare a model, then create your first image.
Start with the installation and one model. A simple image makes it easier to check the setup before creating a longer storyboard or a batch of illustrations.
Install the Windows application
Use the current installer source on the download page. Keep the package complete and follow the installation instructions. The runtime is included with the installer.
Choose a model and set its directory
DreamTale supports Anima, Flux, SDXL and Qwen-Image architectures. Choose one suitable for your subject and graphics memory, obtain its model files, and extract them. Add the extracted folder in the application model directory setting.
The software checks the required model weights. If files are missing, follow the reported requirements before starting generation.
Generate one image first
- Decide whether the image is a cover, character reference, storyboard scene or quote card.
- Describe the subject, scene and visual style.
- Confirm the selected model and its directory.
- Generate an image and compare it with the intended scene.
- Revise the details that need attention before moving to another scene.
Expand into a story sequence
Record the character appearance and the relationships between scenes. The story illustration guide explains how to organize these details before generating a sequence.
